Route Map
See the full bus loop and every stop across Belfast. Plan your day with the map and stop list.
The hop-on hop-off Belfast bus follows a single loop around the city, passing major attractions, transport hubs, and the waterfront. This page explains how the route works and how to use the map with the timetable and stops to plan your trip.
How the Route Works
The Belfast sightseeing bus runs on a continuous loop. There is no fixed start or end stop: you can board at any stop and travel in one direction until you complete the circuit or hop off. The full loop typically takes around 1 hour 15 minutes if you stay on the bus, depending on traffic. Buses run at regular intervals so you rarely wait long at a stop.
The route covers the city centre, Titanic Quarter, Stormont, and key landmarks. You can use the map to see the order of stops and decide where to get off. Many visitors combine a full loop (with live commentary) on the first day with a second day of hopping off at specific stops such as Titanic Belfast or the City Hall. A full list of stops is available on our stops page.
Reading the Map
Our route map shows the bus path as a single line with numbered or named stops. Stops are usually placed near major attractions, hotels, or transport links. The direction of travel is marked so you know which way the bus is heading. First-time visitors often find it helpful to do one full loop to get oriented, then use the map to plan which stops to visit on foot.
You can download or view a printable map from the official operator when you book. For the latest route changes (e.g. events or roadworks), check the operator’s website or our timetable for service updates.
Key Areas on the Map
- City Centre: Stops around City Hall, Donegall Square, and the main shopping streets.
- Titanic Quarter: Titanic Belfast, SS Nomadic, and the slipways. Allow extra time here.
- Cathedral Quarter: Historic streets, bars, and restaurants. Good for an afternoon or evening.
- Stormont: Parliament buildings and grounds. Often included on extended or seasonal routes.
If you are short on time, prioritise the stops that match your interests. For ticket options and fares, see the prices and tickets sections in the menu.
Using the Map with the Timetable
The timetable shows when buses leave each stop and how often they run. Together with the map, you can estimate how long it takes to get from one stop to another and when the last bus passes your stop. This is especially useful if you plan to spend several hours at Titanic Belfast or in the Cathedral Quarter and want to catch a bus back.
We recommend keeping a copy of the map (on your phone or printed) and the timetable when you travel. If you have questions about the route or accessibility, the driver or staff at the main stops can help.
